Whisper to the World™ is a digital art project and interactive platform that allows people to send anonymous, ephemeral messages visible to everyone for 24 hours. The service is operated under the brand "Whisper to the World" and accessible at wh1spr.space.
We are committed to minimal data collection. Here is exactly what we store:
We do not collect: real names, email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, device fingerprints, GPS location, cookies for tracking, or any data from third-party services.

Whisper messages are ephemeral by design. All messages automatically expire and become inaccessible after 24 hours from creation. Expired messages are periodically purged from the database.
Cooldown records (anonymous ID + timestamp only) are retained for 48 hours to enforce posting limits, then become obsolete.
If you wish to request deletion of any data associated with your anonymous session, please contact us and we will comply promptly.
The platform uses Google Firebase (provided by Google LLC) for hosting, authentication, and database services. Firebase processes data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase Terms of Service.
We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication, which does not require or collect any personally identifiable information from users.
No other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services are integrated into this platform.
Whisper to the World is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the service uses anonymous authentication with no registration, no personal data from any user — including minors — is collected or stored.
Messages containing profanity, hate speech, or harmful language in English, Ukrainian, and Russian are automatically detected and visually blurred to protect the community. Such messages are flagged but not deleted, as they contribute to the platform's aggregate "light vs. dark" karma mechanic — a core design element.
We reserve the right — but assume no obligation — to monitor, review, edit, or remove any content at our sole discretion, including content that we believe violates applicable laws, these terms, or poses a genuine safety risk. The absence of action regarding any user content does not constitute endorsement, approval, or verification of such content by the Operator.
Whisper to the World acts solely as a passive, neutral intermediary platform. We do not author, edit, direct, solicit, or exercise editorial control over the content of any user-submitted message. All whispers are generated entirely by users without any involvement, pre-approval, or influence by the Operator. The Operator does not endorse, guarantee the accuracy of, or assume any responsibility for any message posted by any user.
The name "Whisper to the World", the visual design, user interface, interaction mechanics (including but not limited to: ephemeral floating message bubbles, the light/dark karma system, the dynamic corruption theme engine, and the 24-hour lifecycle concept), and all associated branding elements are the proprietary intellectual property of the creator.
Unauthorized reproduction, cloning, reverse-engineering, or creation of derivative works based on this platform's design, mechanics, or concept — in whole or in part — is strictly prohibited and may be subject to legal action under applicable intellectual property laws including but not limited to copyright, trade dress, and unfair competition statutes.

By submitting a whisper, you grant Whisper to the World a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display your message publicly for up to 24 hours. After expiration, the content is deleted and the license terminates automatically. You retain any rights you hold in the content of your message.
You are solely and exclusively responsible for any and all content you submit, post, or transmit through this platform. You represent and warrant that your content: (a) does not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights of any third party; (b) does not contain material that is defamatory, libelous, threatening, harassing, obscene, or otherwise unlawful; (c) does not violate any applicable local, national, or international law, regulation, or statute; and (d) does not contain viruses, malware, or harmful code of any kind.
The Operator shall not be held liable, under any legal theory whatsoever — including but not limited to contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or statutory liability — for any user-generated content posted on this platform. This includes, without limitation, any claims arising from defamation, libel, slander, invasion of privacy, intellectual property infringement, obscenity, threats, harassment, incitement, fraud, or any other illegal or harmful act committed by a user through the platform.
As a passive intermediary and hosting provider, the Operator benefits from liability protections afforded to information society service providers under applicable law, including but not limited to: Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230) in the United States; Articles 4, 5, and 6 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act) in the European Union; and equivalent safe harbor provisions under other applicable jurisdictions. The Operator does not have actual knowledge of illegal content until properly notified and acts expeditiously to remove or disable access to such content upon obtaining actual knowledge.
You agree that any legal dispute, claim, or cause of action arising from or related to content posted by another user shall be directed solely against the author of such content and not against the Operator, its owners, officers, employees, affiliates, or agents.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Whisper to the World, its operator, owners, officers, employees, affiliates, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and court costs) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the platform; (b) any content you submit, post, or transmit; (c) your violation of these terms or any applicable law; or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party. This indemnification obligation shall survive the termination of your use of the platform.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy of content filtering, completeness of content moderation, or permanent availability of the platform. Use of the platform is at your sole risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Operator, its owners, officers, employees, affiliates, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, data, reputation, or other intangible losses — arising out of or in connection with: (a) the use or inability to use the platform; (b) any content posted by any user; (c) any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data; or (d) any other matter relating to the platform, regardless of whether such damages are based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, and even if the Operator has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In any event, the Operator's total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to the platform shall not exceed the amount of zero euros (€0.00), reflecting the free nature of the service.
These terms and any disputes arising hereunder shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Operator resides, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these terms shall be brought exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
